VentureScoutNY
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=39651&item=3966463207&rd=1&tc=photo I was looking through Ebay and found this. The seller says it's his own PERSONAL collection. His Eagle Medal and everything! I was just so amazed he would sell his personal items... I could never imagine... Sir_Scoutalot
In terms of selling his personal stuff, sounds like he'd prefer to pass it on to his kids if they had interest. Better to be in the hands of someone with interest rather than in the dumpster. I was interested in the merit badge stash. Does anyone know how many merit badges were required for Eagle back then? Where there Eagle required merit badges?
Be_Prepared
To answer the eagle required question - 21 merit badges total in the late 60's. Required were camping, cit in community and nation, soil and water conservation, cooking, first aid, lifesaving, nature, personal fitness, swimming. falcon93
My father in law passed away back in October. We now have all of his scout stuff - badges, eagle, etc.... He hiked the entire Appalachian trail once...........
Sovremenny
There are always people who want something and Ebay is oftentimes the first place one would look. Maybe the guy needs money? My friend is selling a lot of things on Ebay out of desperation to buy a new car. However, as an experienced Ebay seller, I don't think someone is likely to buy that for that price.
