rayezell_2000 Posted November 18, 2019 Share Posted November 18, 2019 Probably one of the most unique acts of patriotic service attempted by Boy Scouts in Virginia during World War I was the relocation of approximately 1000 scouts in June 1917 to two counties on Virginia's Eastern Shore to harvest 3 to 4 million barrels of potatoes from their fields.
