Eagle Scout made outsize impact on Corpus Christi

McIver Furman was the first Eagle scout in Corpus Christi TX (the troop was founded by his mother in 1911).  He would go on to become one of the city's leading citizens, earning his medical degree from University of Texas, serving as the city's mayor, and founding a hospital in the city.;  Boy Scouts do great things!   Here is Dr. Furman's story...
