August 25, 20169 yr I'm sure many of you are aware that all of the past issues of Scouting Magazine used to be available online free. They've now been taken down. This morning, I read about the subscription service to access them. Link to article I understand the need to pay for itself, but to offer a service for free for several years and then charge for it, seems off to me. I could understand a one time charge but not a subscription. What do you think?
August 25, 20169 yr Let's see, three espressos on three walks to the library to get at those back-issues or an online subscription? Time to get the walking shoes on.
August 25, 20169 yr Five dollars a year isn't much, less than I pay for my Boy's Life subscription. I don't have a problem as long as the pricing is reasonable (no more than the Boy's Life print copy per year).
August 26, 20169 yr Google Books still has them back to 1971: https://books.google.com/books?id=e_0DAAAAMBAJ&dq=scouting+magazine&source=gbs_all_issues_r&cad=1&atm_aiy=1970#all_issues_anchor IIRC, that's as far as they went back on the BSA's site. I have seen older issues online other places, although I don't think there's a complete collection.
