brendon
recently went and looked over a new hunting lease in dougherty oklahoma,,,,,owner said there used to be an old boyscout camp there,,,,we found where the original cabin used to be,,,,still has some bunk beds in there,,,,,,cabin burned down several years ago,,,,,,also found some other old foundations,,,where other cabins may have been,,,,this camp is deep in the arbuckle mountains and sits next to a spring fed creek,,,,,we were wondering if anyone knew where we might be able to find some history, stories or old photos from this place,,,,even a name would be great,,,,it now sits on what is known as chapmond ranch...thanks for any and all help,,,,woody and brendon hobbs. dahobbs@cableone.net
scoutldr
The council currently serving that area is the Arbuckle Area Council in Ardmore, OK. Perhaps they could provide some info. www.arbucklebsa.org Also see: http://www.arbucklebsa.org/CampHistory.html(This message has been edited by scoutldr)
