EAGLE SCOUT PRESENTATION KIT: something's "missing"

I know that the ESPK contains the following:

* Eagle Scout Medal

* Eagle Scout Cloth Patch

* Eagle Scout Tie Tac

* Eagle Scout Mother's Pin

* Eagle Scout Dad's Tie Tac

 

If it were up to me, the ESPK would have the Eagle Scout Adults knot (So the Scout would have his first knot when he becomes an adult). I with it would. What do you think?

As soon as he registered as an adult leader he can be presented his Eagle Scout knot..just my opionion

I had a Scouter present me with an Eagle Scout knot when I turned 18. It was my first knot of many. I treasured the fact that someone recognized my achievement in that way.

When a Eagle becomes a adult leader in the troop, I buy him an Eagle Scout Knot and present it to him. I explain that he can't wear the cloth badge anymore, but he can wear the Eagle Knot on him uniform.

To be quite honest, a lot of Eagle Scouts disappear when they turn 18. College, a job, military, just general adult stuff, and off they go. Our kits don't have the Eagle knot, and I think that's fine. When they come back as adult leaders (sooner or later), someone will get them their knot.
