CNYScouter 46 Posted April 20, 2007 Share Posted April 20, 2007 The Sea Scout Ship has been asked to "judge" a Raingutter Regatta. When I was a CC of a Pack we did do one of these so I am familiar with them. I am looking for some fun ideas we can do to spice things up. I really dont have much idea what they are expecting from us. I think just a couple of us showing up in uniform is all they are really looking for. Any ideas? Link to post Share on other sites
Gonzo1 10 Posted April 20, 2007 Share Posted April 20, 2007 CNY, Your "judges" can judge "Best of Show" for Tigers, other cubs including Webelos and siblings (if entered). Depending on the size of the pack, show competition could be for each rank too. You could have a judge determine which is winner and one could serve as starter. Ask the pack if one of their people will manage a scoreboard to see who wins overall in speed. Link to post Share on other sites
Stosh 3452 Posted April 20, 2007 Share Posted April 20, 2007 I would think the #1 reason you were picked to "judge" was because the pack wished to have some great interaction between the younger and older boys. Judging, praising, working with the boys, etc. all go well for developing relationships with these impressionable young boys and somewhere down the road, one or two of the boys will remember the great day they had with the Sea Scouts, they just may sign up.
