trlarue 10
My district has Baloo training and leader specific scheduled for the same day and a Baloo in November. Can I take Baloo in another district. My cm and others will know about it in advance about me wanting to take BALOO in another area. My only reason is so I can get it done before an overnighter in October.
infoscouter 11
Yes - training is training. You can (and should) take it where ever it fits your schedule. Bravo for being on top of what you need to serve your Scouts!
rkfrance 11
The more correct answer would be yes if the district you're going to for training is in your council. Yes, they use the same syllabus, but each council sets its own policies for cub scout camping - baloo and webelos outdoor are affected. If it is out of council, you have to check with your council office to make sure you are made aware of any differences in policy. It still can be done and most councils from what I've seen would rather see you trained.
Fuzzy Bear 12
Get trained.
Lisabob 13
We send people to training in other districts and councils all the time for scheduling reasons. I've never once heard anybody from our council complain about it. I'd say go for it. Lisa'bob
