position patches ?

When a scout has more than 1 position which patch should he wear? My son is an assistant patrol leader and is now becoming a den chief for a webelos den.

 

I know for adults they wear their Highest position, is this the same for the boys? and what ranking would a chief be? is it okay to wear his troop position badge (what ever it is) and then just wear his cord?

Hmmmm . . . never heard that one before. Most adults wear the patch of the position that they serve in most of the time. So an SM who is also on the district committee would usually just wear an SM patch. Many of us wackos, however, have multiple shirts. :-)

 

For your son, wear the patch for the troop position plus the cord.

Wear the Asst Patrol leader patch and the "ropes" of the den chief.

Ask the Scout what he thinks is the right one to wear at this time.

 

Or ... sew a tan velcro circle (loop side) on the sleeve where the patch goes. Sew the patches to the hook side and switch when needed. Suggest he keeps the other patch in his shirt pocket.
