fleetfootedfox
What is the point of these single-color ghost patches? Is it just to be different? I saw a "2002 NOAC Red Ghost Back Patch" advertised for sale at on a web site, and this is what has gotten my interest. Were these made to be put on the back of a red jack-shirt? scoutldr
For those who don't know, "ghost" patches are versions of patches that are embroidered using all one color thread. Our lodge flap has been produced in about 10 different colors. They are just novelty collectibles, and to my knowledge, are not for official uniform wear. But if you want to wear one on the red jacket, I won't say anything.
NWScouter
Any flap issued by a lodge is official and may be worn by a lodge member in good standing in that lodge. The lodge needs to meet some requirements on design and elements but be it one color or 200 it can be worn on the uniform.
scoutldr
I guess I should have prefaced my comments with "My lodge's policy is..." YMMV
