    Parent Pins

Should parent pins be allowed to be worn on the leader uniform?
  2. Wow, I have been wearing my parent "mom" pins on my uniform since the very beginning. I have mixed emotions now. If it is not part of the uniform I guess I will have to conform and not wear them. I am proud of my son's achievments and I don't see a better way of displaying it than the ribbon. I have never been approached by anyone that said, "hey, that is not part of the uniform your really should take it off." On the other hand I have been asked where do you get those ribbons? That is so neat.....etc. If it is not part of the uniform I think it should be changed so you can wear it if you w
  3. I am looking for the excel spreadsheet or workbook for tracking a bear den. I have the wolf and beltloop workbooks but I can't seem to remember where I found these. Thanks for your help! S. Thomas Den 8

    Spring Roundup?

We will be having 2 pack activities per month during the summer to get the summertime award. We need more scouts! I am the leader of 3 Wolf Cubs and I will be losing one at the end of the school year. All of our Tigers have dropped out and the Bears are down to 6, sometimes 7. Our CC wants to go with the recruitment in August but not this spring. It seems to me that camping and outings during the summer would attract a lot of boys. It is really hard to have a den meeting with only 2 boys in attendance at any one den meeting. Sounds like some good ideas for getting more boys to join.
  5. Have you talked to the leader yourself and let him know how you feel? I agree that the CM and CC are your friends and a great resource guarenteed to have those boys' best interest in mind. They may be able to give some good ideas to the leader to help the boys behave without being in boot camp. I am a den leader myself of 3 boys and believe me it is hard to keep their attention on what your doing all of the time. I will be using a conduct candle in my meetings from now on. Maybe it will work maybe not but yelling and push-ups? No.

    Cub emails

Hi Robin, A resounding yes from Pack 243 in Lakewood, Colorado. Sounds like a wonderful opportunity for all of us! Our Cub Master is an Eagle Scout and would love to answer any questions your Cubs may have about the BSA as well as some very eager Cubs to have an e-pal so to speak. Talk to you soon!
