  1. My troop has done ALOT of fundraising this year and we leave for Washington, D.C. tomorrow (6-6-02). Here's what we did. Our council allows us to seek "sponsors" in our local community. You can't say, "will you give us a donation" but you can say, "would you be interested in sponsoring our troop?" It's a stupid way of getting to the same point but doing it by the "Girl Scout" way. If your troop is looking to raise a lot of money here's a suggestion: Put together a cookbook and have it published by Cookbook Publishers. They send you the whole kit free.   2. Nope! They don't bake them or do any of the work for them but they have no problem letting us do it! You really don't want to know my whole opinion of the Girl Scout Organization because lately I don't have anything nice to say. If you would like to contact them you can and I'll get you the website address but I doubt you'll get anywhere. If it's not self serving for their needs then they don't bother.
  3. Although the EMS fundraiser sounds great we as Girl Scouts are not allowed to do it. It's against the "Rules" to sell someone elses product.
  4. Hi there! You want a good fundraiser with a great profit margin that also involves the parents? Do a cookbook. I am a girl scout leader and was very nervous about doing this but took the chance and it is working to our advantage. Have all of your parents contribute enough recipes for at least 250. The company I used is Cookbook Publishers (you can find them on the internet) and they have been really great. I know you have boyscouts but you would be surprised how well it works out.
