  1. We dont have that problem, as over here our beavers, cubs, scouts and explorer scouts are all mixed groups, it works very well, has done for years, there is no boy girl thing, we are all scouts and get on with scouting, lots of countries now have mixed scouting, Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, I am sure BP would approve, were he here today, it is a forward move and you know what they say about forward movement. " to be a movement you have to move forward, if you dont move forward it becomes an organisation, if it is an organisation, then it isnt Scouting ".
  2. It isnt unusual here in England to invite other troops along to camp, we also have a district camp every year. Here we have network scouters, many will if asked go on camps to help out, and it isnt unusual for one troop to ask someone from another troop to help out with a camp if they are short on leaders.
  3. Hi thanks for the reply No I dont know which Patrol I will be in yet, I know it wll be a different one than my sister, haha, we are not allowed to be in the same patrol, as when she was in cubs, she was in Red six, I am the sixer of Blue six. Our highest badge is the Cheif Scout award, in cubs its the silver, which I am now undertaking, and will be able to wear it on my scout shirt. Then in scouts hope to get my gold award. Another thing I am looking forward to is in January when the enrollment for Gang Show gets underway, I will be a scout in Gang Show next year, it was fun doing Gang Show
  4. Wow, your Sm would not last long here in England, we have not only female parents helping out at camp, we have coed scouting in all branches of scouting, some packs/troops dont take females but after this year it will be illegal to refuse entrance on gender reasons. Our Beaver Colony and Cub Pack both have female leaders, our Akela is female and she is brilliant, also two more females have recently been invested as leaders in our group, one in Beavers and one that works with the cubs and scouts. On camp we have mums coming along to help, wouldnt be enough leaders if they didnt, they sleep in
  5. Our pack did a travel back in time exercise recently, although the time period we had was 1916, we had to do some tasks that a cub in 1916 did, and play some games, two of which were spinning tops and leap frog, if thats any help
