Since some folks like to toss the word bigot around here like candy at a 4th of July parade, here's an interesting take on the topic.

I particularly like the Boy's Life reference at the end.

I don't much like the term itself, mainly because of its widespread improper use. It really has less meaning because of that. I'm going to try to post your link again just to experiment a little with this new website:

I'm still working on the learning curve here.

Edit: OK, I see I still have some more of that learning curve ahead of me. FYI, In about 1965 or thereabouts, I purchased a shotgun from Montgomery Ward through mail order. I also did not automatically get the urge to kill people. (wild game was another matter)
But as much as I'd still like to have that convenience, I think things have changed a lot in the last 50 years. The dialogue, I think, should be on what the problems really are and what are realistic solutions? I'm not seeing much of that.

Very interesting article. And I, too, want to experiment with posting a link. So here is my attempt.

BTW, we are a "gun family". My husband is in law enforcement, we hunt, we target shoot, and hold weapons in our home for protection. Just thought I should stay on topic here :-)
