Second Class 49
A Cub Scout leader friend said fees are going to $40.00/year. Anybody else heard about an increase?
00Eagle 32
The fee for a unit charter will be $40.00 instead of $20.00. Youth and adult registration will remain $15/head. Heard it the other night at roundtable. Found this reference: http://scout-wire.org/2012/08/30/charter-fee-increases-changes-name-for-2013/

Eagle732 27
Yup, increase is suppose to go to insurance. Maybe too many paintball injuries ; )
Eagle92 110
'732, From what I've read and heard, it's because of all the lawsuits.
frankpalazzi 62
Not that it'll break us, but DOUBLING the fee?? Puh-leez!
Beavah 205
Only doublin' da unit fee is not so bad as the 50% increase on the individual fees a couple years ago. It's not a bad deal for insurance coverage. I think AHG is a few hundred dollars for the unit fee, and around $20 for da per person fee, so we're cheap by comparison. Not sure how GSUSA compares. ScoutNut 147
Since GSUSA has no Charter Organizations there are no recharter fees. Annual registration for GSUSA is $12.
ScouterAdam 11
GSUSA is totally different. Plus in the Oregon/Washington Council, they just had a 15% staff reduction and closed 3 service centers. It's $20 more. Big deal.
Second Class 49
Agreed, $20 more, no biggie. But $15 to $40 , that would have been a big deal. Glad we got that straight and quick!
