juggerwubba 10 Posted March 5, 2008 Share Posted March 5, 2008 Hi all, I have just registered as an Assistant scoutmaster for my son's BSA troop in Ann Arbor Michigan. I was both a Brownie and a Girl Guide when growing up in the UK. My son began in Beavers and cubs in the UK, and has just been awarded his 1st class scout badge after joining a webelos den 15 months ago, achieving his arrow of light and crossing over to Scouts. I really like the way the BSA focuses on progression through the ranks, something that was missing from the UK program both when I was a child, and when my son was involved. I am just a little sad that there seems to be no way to recognise my UK achievements now. (I am envious of the other leaders with all the little extra patches they have) Link to post Share on other sites
