0ldscout136
Looking for history on the WWI/WWII Victory Plough. A friend of mine found a push plough with a BSA symbol on it and some of the original green paint. Does anyone know the history on these ploughs? Miki101
I would have to postulate that this plough dates back to the WWI Bond and Victory Campaigns where the cry was "Every Scout to Feed a Soldier." Scouts were encouraged to plant "War Gardens" in order to assist the war effort among other things like selling war bonds, war stamps and counting the black walnut trees ("Liberty Trees") for use as gun stocks and the like.
