htc1992eaglescout47553 10
I just recently obtained a new Eagle Scout Medal and I looked on the back and I saw the letters "CFJ". Out of curiosity, is that a type of metal (as in Certified Fine Jewel) or initials of the manufacturer of that medal?
dsteele 20
I don't want you to think that no one is responding to your question. I just read it for the first time and am trying to figure out where to find your answer. I think you may be on to something about the manufacturer, but I'm not sure. I'll give it some thought. Don't hold your breath for an answer, but I do have it on the back burner to check into just for the sake of curiosity. DS
shemgren 10
I believe it is a manufacturer's mark. The one I hold in my hand has a old english style "S" in a square in the back. Terry Grove wrote a book: "A Comphrehensive Guide to the Eagle Scout Award" as cited in Mark Ray's "The Eagle Court of Honor Book." I don't have Terry Grove's book, but it may have the answer your question. It is available here: http://www.tspa.com/books.shtml Scott
