tracker 10
We have a troop in Dallas that would like to do a canoe adventure for older boys in lieu of summer camp. The BSA Canoe base doesn't have any slots available that will work for our schedule so we are looking for any commerical outfitter that can provide a 7 day canoe/camping experience anywhere north of Oklahoma and Arkansas. Anyone out there have any suggestions? admin

k9gold-scout 10
Inland Empire Council in Spokane WA has a trip down the Clark Fork in Montana and the Montana Council has a trip on the Missouri River. Both are on the Lewis and Clark Trail - check out the website on the net compass page.
eagle90 125
In the same area as the Sommers base in the Boundary Waters are hundreds of outfitters who do a good job. We have used North Country Canoe Outfitters in Ely numerous times. It is run by John Schiefelbein, a veteran scouter. They do have excellent scout group packages and are very accomodating. johnmbowen 10
Check www.hpoiadventure.com a group in the North Rockies that has Scout oriented events. The whitewater in this area will be low this year, but climbing is good. JB I also have extensive experience in these kinds of outings if you would like to contact me privately.
