Eagle1983 10
Scoutstuff.org sells mens uniform shirts in Poly/Cotton and Poly/Wool. The Poly/Wool ones are more expensive. What's the difference, I know, it has wool in it, haha. Do the wool ones look better, hold up better, warmer, etc. Does anyone have any experience with the Poly/Wool version of the BSA shirt?? Any advice or comments would be appreciated. Thanks Much. YIS Eagle1983
Eamonn 61
The wool shirts do look better and are more "Dressy"! They hold a crease better when ironed. But they do need to be ironed or dry cleaned, in order to look good. While I have yet to wear out a Scout shirt. The polyester shirts do tend to look a little sad after they have been laundered a lot. On the bright side the polyester shirts do dry a lot faster. I'm not sold on the idea of paying the extra for a shirt that in't really going to get that much wear. But that's just me! Eamonn.
scoutldr 732
To really look good, the poly/wool shirt should be word with the poly/wool trousers. They are more "dressy" and look like dress slacks. $60 bucks. JMHO
Gold Winger 9
I have a poly/wool short sleeved shirt and it does look nice but the fabric is thin and the sleeves are shorter than those of my poly/cotton SS shirt. Strange.
local1400 10
I have a 100% cotton LS shirt that is darker colored than the poly/cotton blend. They need ironing to make them look good.

Jeffrey H 25
The 100% cotton shirts look best and have a more classic scout uniform look. They don't "pilfer" like the poly-blend shirts. Yes, they need to be ironed, but they iron easily and still look great even if they are a little wrinkled.
