Hello All !
I've found my original OA pocket patch from my time as a boy in the Boy Scouts -- Papoukewis Lodge (289) -- Fort Steuben Council. Somewhere over time, it's been machine washed, and then removed from the uniform, and as a result is wrinkled. What is the best way to restore the patch to a new(er) condition?? I'm wanting to wear it on my Class-A uniform.
Check eBay for one in better shape. They have an insane amount of lodge flaps.

From AIS or Eisnenberg Rothweiler? Kosnoff is violently opposed. I’d wait for his letter if you are on the fence.
Email from AIS directing me to the letter from ER.
I’m not on the fence about it.
Edit: They included other letters further down the email that recommend both sides of the decision.

Just got an email from AIS recommending I vote yes. Repeatedly.

Interesting calculator

Put in the state. Put in the type of abuse. Get your estimate.
And they recommend I vote ‘no’ based on my circumstances.

“Now, society is punishing BSA”
I’m down with that.

No survivor in a SOL state will ever vote for a plan where they get nothing.
Or would they no longer have a vote?

Texas has no statute of limitations for sexual abuse of a minor. How is it that they are ‘Gray 3’?

The mental fallout from my abuse was mostly dormant prior to the current lawsuit. It would still torment me in idle moments. Or at night sometimes when I lay in bed trying not to blame myself after so many years for something I didn’t even understand at age 11.
After I signed onto the lawsuit I began to scavenge info from the web, constantly looking for updates. It became almost an obsession.
Thats how I found this forum. The dialog here calms me to a degree. Perhaps being among birds of a feather, both as a survivor and as a former Scout.
Please don’t lock the thread. It’s a valuable resource. And I’m sure there are others lurking quietly, watching as well.

First, it is simply sad that this discussion is even being made.
So, if done with the right care, could LC's rewrite their own Charter to include a primary method of distribution of assets, one that does not have NC as the only option? Yes, the vultures noted above would scream manipulation, but if it is a State sanctioned non profit, does not the state have the first word?
I’m a quiet newcomer here who was abused multiple times by my SM.
Until the lawyers physically rape me they are nowhere near as bad as the predator who actually did.
I’ll return to quietly watching the discussion again.

Cold weather clothing/base layer/gear necessities
in Equipment Reviews & Discussions

Look to the cycling community for cold weather gear. Their equipment is designed to be light, easy to put on/remove, and modular so you can build layers and pieces to meet any condition.
