  2. There are so many more readily accessible resources now than when I was last a Scouter. I spent my Cub and Boy Scout years in Newark, Delaware and Rodney Scout Reservation. In 1987 I rejoined Scouting as a Assistant Scoutmaster and then Scoutmaster of a BSA Troop in Rota, Spain. I've since served as a Assistant and Scoutmaster in several more troops; as a unit commissioner, chartered organization representative and always as a merit badge counselor. This forum is a great source of info for both the young, old, new or experienced scouter. I'm really looking forward to reviewing all of the diff
  3. My solution was to take my original scout jac shirt (circa 1970), remove the sleeves and use that material to add a panel on each side including a had warmer pocket. I've also removed the collar. I maintain my scouter jac shirt just as it is supposed to with only the pocket emblem and an OA patch on the back. Now I can wear my vest by itself and still make use of my original jac shirt which still includes my camping patches I received as a boy. I also wear it over top of my regulation jac shirt on occation and it looks like I'm wearing the patches on my jacket; usually for campfires. It re
