Can older rank patches (those without the kaki background be worn on the BSA uniform or the Venturing Uniform?

Does the first aid merit badge course count as the requirement needed for the First Aid Core Requirement?

Can anybody tell me if it is written down somewhere that the particpants of an eagle scout project do not have to be Scouts, or is that just common knowledge? We have a bit of an arguement between two committee members. I was under the impression that Scouts did not have to be the bulk of "those lead by the eagle candidate", but I don't have anything to prove it.

There is no timeframe in the handbook, so how long, based on your personal experiences, does it take to earn the Bronze, Silver, Gold, Quest, and Ranger award? Can you work on multiple awards at the same time? Also: Can you wear your Star and Life patches on your Venturing uniform?

Do the participants that the Scout leads have to be other scouts?

I have a scout who is heavy into musical theater and drama. He wants to do his Eagle project somehow combining Scouts and Theater. I really don't want to stiffle his creativity, but we are having difficulties comming up with a project that wouldn't be a "fundraiser". Any suggestions?

My troop is considering reorganizing our library, charging $1.00 to borrow a book. Is this: 1) Legal, or 2) a good idea? YiS

We have a patrol that does not like any of the BSA's Patrol Patches. Is there any other choices for them?
