Your last point is the discussion. It was determined that all req's for the backpacking MB have been met, as well as all req's for the 50miler award. The problem is the 50miler application (ie:...as written on the app.: (note: this award does not apply if any other award is available for this trip.). Therein lies the problem. Is the MB an award?

I'm reposting this message here, as I may have posted it incorrectly earlier. Recently went on a 50miler with a few boys(had a great time by the way). We were hoping to finish up the Backpacking MB on this trip, as well as earn the 50miler award. Is this possible? I've had several discussions within the adult leadership of my troop, and we are divided. Any advice out there?
