  1. Not a big fan on the french look, but what about the Us amry look, I allways liked the flat hat style if nothing else you can tuck it in your belt while not wearing it
  2. When did it become so important to make every boy an eagle scout. It seems that we has a group are making boys eagles who really havnt earned it, they have all the stuff done in the book but to be an eagle is so much more. The other day i heard of a scout being the youngest eagle ever at the age of 12, now do you really think this child has the leadeship skills one would come to assume an eagle scouts to have.
  3. some one said about not knowing of any other groups wearing neck wear. One group is the US Navy, The enlistmen wear a itam around there neck( i dont know why but they do). Sticking with the military, some one said about it nothaving a funcution in this age, well does the marine sword, worn with there dress uniform have a funcution, not really but i dare you to take it away from them. The neck wear, is a pain i will agree but i wear mine with pride. its a sign of honor, pride and it does look sharp
  4. Well this is a very good topic, Sports vs Scouts. I can relate to both sides of this as both an adult leader, football coach, jock and scouter. There is no way you can make a kid chose between scouts and sports, for one thing in the scout oath, a scouts is suppost to be physically strong, what better way to do this then by playing a sport. Also just because a scout chooses to play sports and miss a couple meetings doesnt mean he will not be a great scout. As for my self I played 2 years of football, wrestled for 6 years, was in marching band for 5 years, and was a memeber of a fire company
