Thank you for your post Dawny. I'm new here, and my son started cubscouts this year. He has high-functioning Autism, and this is his only extracurricular activity. I felt comfortable with him joining scouts; since it doesn't have a sports-like, strong competitive atmosphere. However, he struggled with the last campout. Since then, I've felt somewhat uncomfortable and not looking forward to the next campout. I enjoy all that scouting has to offer, and I've even joined our troop as a committee member.
