Men, go back to the founders for this answer.Read the old books by Dan Beard. They lay out plans for making snares, fishing spears, blow guns, and arrow throwers (with the intention of taking game). There are also instructions for cleaning and cooking game. This should answer the question of where "Scouting's Fathers" stood on this issue. Baloo

My 1st is definately my Eagle -- took till I was 17 yrs & 360 days, but I earned it. 2nd -- my Zit Kala Sha OA pocket flap -- as many of you have noted, the honor that comes with just being tapped out says it all. 3rd -- the one I now wear on my left sleeve -- den leader - -I've come 3/4 circle through scouting.
