  1. I am an advisor for a less than one year old crew - While some members have a handbook, I would like to to email/ snail mail to my crew the youth officers (Pres, Admin VP. Program VP, Tres & Sec) job descriptions as we have elections soon- does anybody have a link to where they might be online? Please respond ! Thanks! BTW- Our crew is 10 months old- we have camped & trail biked twice, two service projects, geo-cached twice, canoed twice, indoor climbing once, two socials and two fundraisers! We have 14 youth and 7 adult leaders.... Provide a solid program, give the kids
  2. How should a CC relate & work with a unit leader? Where does one responsibilities start & end? How would a unit committee meeting run with both the CC & the CM/SM involved but not in each others way? What should the COR expect of each one? What keeps a unit leader from thinking, "I'm the one who has his/her butt on the line- why doesn't the CC help/ get involved with frontline issues?" I ask these questions as I prepare to recruit new leaders to fill positions both in a pack & troop in a growing program.
  3. Great comments all - Semper, do you include Crew officers (maybe the president) in this committee? Our GS program is doing well, but not as strong as the boys- Any suggestions on how to bring them on board as to an overall Scouting Committee? I would probably offer and if they want to go their own way, I'll just keep the door open.

  5. Hey everyone! I'm been a Scout leader now for 6 years in which time as the CM,I revived the Pack to a Quality Unit, rechartered the Troop and just started a Venture Crew, all sponsored by the church I attend. We have great support with about 50 kids. I am now serving as the committee chair for all three units and as an assist. advisor for the crew (as my son is in it.) My CR is supportive, but has no time to assist and lets me make all exec. desisions (I'm basically doing both jobs) I have great CM, SM and Crew Advisor, but how do I expand the leadership (I have about 20 trained leaders) The u
