  1. I haven't read the other replies to this so forgive me if this is a repeat. New parents are always allowed on campouts. By NOT letting them go you are violating YP, plus everyone has the right to see and witness the program. Give these parents something to do...knots, fire wood, cooking.....we can always find something and the help is always needed!
  2. You miss the whole point of the game... You can be greedy in life or not. You can created win-win situations so that everyone wins. Our class had 8 patrols and 7 members in each. If everyone would have trusted the other the entire room would have collectively made $64,000 dollars and everyone would have won. I have taught this exercise in team building and self-help type settings. The BSA calls it the game of life but they do not explain the meaning.....you re to reflect and find the meaning yourself.   3. Can anyone tell me what the requirements are for the Scoutmaster key according to the 2007 printing of the Leadership training committee guide. There seems to be some confusion with a lot of people about this. I went to the shop on Wednesday but they were out of the pamphlet.   4. Shortridge Yes it is the game of life. It is mostly referred to as the black and red game. Red would represent the axe and log and black would represent the beads.
  5. This seems like a good post to burn my first posting to.... I have taken a LOT of team building, self help, and corporate quality management type courses and Woodbadge was a repeat of a lot of different parts from one training course or another....just presented in a different way. I found it interesting to step back and watch my behavior as this material was presented to people. For most (which I found hard to swallow) this was the first time they had been exposed to any of it.
