Sounds like your SPL has a self-confidence issue. Work on that w/ him. The SPL can let the ASPL run with the ball as long as he remains abreast of what the ASPL is doing.

I kept the Webelos in the blue shirt as long as I could until the crossover. If they had to buy a larger shirt or we didn't have a larger blue shirt in the "hand me downs", they bought the khaki.

For you Navy folk, does this sound familiar? Going from dungarees to khaki is a BIG deal in the USN, I figured I would bring the tradition down to the future of our country.

Sounds like they want Tigers to spend more money on uniforms that they will soon out grow and then have to spend even more money on uniforms.

Our pack had an ornate walking stick that was passed down from W2 to W1 as W2 crossed over and W1s became the "senior" den. The stick became more ornate as each W2 den added something special to it for the Pack to remember them by.

We gave the crossing over Scouts a BSA handbook during the ceremony, and the gaining Troop gave them their neckerchief and slides.

Soooo, start a tradition in your Pack.
