NeilLup 13 Posted June 1, 2004 Share Posted June 1, 2004 Hello Yarrow, There is an excellent brochure put out by the BSA on "Selecting a Scoutmaster" or Selecting Quality Leaders or some such name. Your District Executive can get it for you. I would only suggest that you should not select from the individuals who are interested, rather, you should identify a number of candidates, rank order them and then start at the top of the list and do your best to get them to be interested. It is a sales job. You may have your current interested person at the top of the list. Or maybe not. The best SM I ever recruited had no interest when first approached.
