I think this is the best site for ideas on gates and other pioneering projects.

You may need to decipher some of the diagrams. However, with a couple of other good resources, you should be in business. Get the pioneering MB book and the Boy Scout Handbook will be a good start.(This message has been edited by firstpusk)

Scout Pioneering by John Sweet has a few gateways and is a good little pioneering book.

It is still available from Scouts Canada. However if you can get the UK original the book is a little bigger and easier to read it comes up every now and then on E-bay.

Thanks, but neither of these have Rope Gates. What I'm looking for is a picture of a gate made with rope, not spars. I've checked all the pioneering books and they do not show those type of gates. My friend said he saw one at the 1993 Jamboree. If you've seen a troop put one up or passed over one on the internet, please let me know.

Thanks again,

Dancin
