cad-guy 10 Posted September 25, 2008 Share Posted September 25, 2008 greetings all.... this is not directly scout related, but I know that you guys could probably come up w/ some information. My wife and I are thinking about taking the boys (12 and 14) on a white water rafting vacation. Does anybody here have any good experiences you care to share? We are looking for a place in Colorado, New Mexico area. 2 or 3 days float. I have found lots of internet information, but I would be more particularly interested in a place where someone has been, and could give me some feedback (good or bad). Now, if you were heading to Yellowstone, I can highly recommend Montana Whitewater http://www.montanawhitewater.com/ on the Gallatin River. They have a 23-mile trip with the last "mad mile" of Class IV and V rapids. Our troop used them in 2004, and they loved it. Good luck.
