Tips on gear loss prevention/reduction?

I had forgotten about the cord that runs through the sleeves!!

Back when I was a little fellow my Mum used to do that with my gloves!!

Now my jacket has Velcro at the cuffs and the gloves also have Velcro. The system works or would work if Rory didn't think that I hang the gloves for his entertainment.

Thinking of that silly cord brought back some very fond memories.

Not a problem. Sometimes the old ways still work. Aren't moms wonderful! (I keep reminding Scouts about that)
