Eagle92 110
While the 100% wool jac shirts, or "red jackets" as I commonly hear them, are going away, they are on sale for about $55 on Scotustuff.org IF they have your size, looks like they will now make a 85/15 wool/poly blend red jacket that is washable, just like the green ones. Only difference between the two beside color is that the BSA logo will still be a patch, and not black embroidery.
desertrat77 1144
That's good news, Eagle92. BSA identity and utility in one clothing item.
jrush 11
Considering how and where they were made the past several years, $55 is about what they're worth. I wonder if Bemidji mills will still make the red jacks form now on.
BluejacketScouter 10
I think that Bemidji is out of the red jacket business. I ordered one in January and received a "backordered" response (something like that). Finally around April he contacted me and said he either has no source for the red material, or did not plan to order any more.
