Thanks for proposing a solution. Has anyone tried this or a similar model? What if Cub Scouts was just a summer activity? Eight weeks, six adventures, two hikes, a week of camp, and you are done. What is to stop a committee from proposing this model of scouts for a unit? I have not read a recharter agreement. Thus, I don't know what a unit promises to do. I do know, however, that aside from the recharter itself, some basic popcorn sales admin, and day camp, that my council and local district do nothing for the local cub scout units.
