  1. As an Eagle Scoutand CubMaster and Assistant Scoutmaster, I have too say that I see nothing wrong with tattoos. If it were'nt for tattoos, I would not be back in Scouting today. I had been out of Scouting for about 15 years. I started getting tattoos and ended up marrying my tattoo artists sister, whom had boys in Scouts. I see nothing wrong with tats, if they are vulgar, by all means cover up, there is a time and place for everything . My tattoos are all Native American, they can be covered if I choose to do so.They are also part of my heritage. I am the guy
  2. What I have done, is I try too recreate a little bit of summer camp. I go too the local school and do a boy talk. Post flyers around town, contact the ranger at my local state park, arrange for campsites, have my scouts set up tents and have skills demonstations, and close the evening with a hotdog roast, songs, and skits. I have done this for two years and usually gain at least 5 new scouts. Yours In Scouting, Jay Harris
