Ignore the old guy...........

First pack meeting was last night, wife's uniform went over better than expected (outside 'one issue', but.......), the boys all thought it was "cool" the other leaders (minus the 'one issue') all applauded her dedication and creativity. There are plenty of pictures, I haven't gotten any back to me yet, but I'll share them as they come up. Thanks guys for the kind words, I shared them with her as she was sewing patched on her uniform (even KDD's).

I'm not a uniform tzar, really I'm not. Ok, maybe a little for leaders (set a good example, and all). My question concerns how far the "once uniform, always uniform" rule of thumb can be taken. My wife just started to move her pack volunteer work to a more visible position (as in, she is now up front at pack meetings sometimes). She very much dislikes the green/tan uniform, almost as much as she dislikes the yellow/blue uniform. So.... she has picked up an old "Den Mother's Dress". My guess is that it dates from the 50's. Long time lurker, finally joining the fun. Current scouter situation is: Leading a pack until the end of this (school) year, and am planning on volunteering at the troop level next year.
