    Mile High: I wish I could have had your description on the SM role about 2 years ago. Your right, the CC was trying to dictate the SM position.....then what was the SM? a babysitter?

    Helicopter parents only care about their Scout and no other Scouts. Those Scouts don't get a chance to make their own decisions---their parents do all their thinking for them. I have watched it: a Scout gets questioned about somthing and the first thing the Scout does is look back at the parent

    I was SM for 5 years. ASM's thought they could do better. One lasted 8 months and the other one for a year. I can't wait to see who is the next SM. They found out it was so easy...except for the time committment. The TC turned nasty too. They were in it for their own Scout, didn't care about the rest.
