  2. Hi, Pack391: I happen to have an extra NASA patch, if you would like to trade. I would actually prefer your council's JSP in trade, if that's doable. Otherwise, I'm sure I would like a NASA mission patch (you wouldn't have any Apollo moon mission patches, would you? That's more my era, when I was a kid in Florida). Anyway, please PM me if you want to trade.

Although my experience is with a troop that numbers no more than one patrol, I'm sure that there is a point at which a troop can be too big; however, there must be some optimal size where a troop has enough boys for several six- to eight-member patrols, so that there is always good participation (and parent involvement) in camping and activities. Has anyone figured out what this optimal number might be?

  5. I have just returned from the Jambo and have a number of CSPs left over (as 2nd ASM, I didn't get out of the troop site as much as I would've liked). I'm especially looking to trade for CSPs from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, and California. Thanks! YIS, tiGGertoo
  6. My son and I just returned from Jambo and I have some extra of our CSPs left over (the 2nd ASM tends to be stuck in camp a lot). I will send you one (Jersey Shore). It's a shame that there were even a few thieves among the thousands of Scouts there (I heard some other stories too, like boys walking over patch traders' blankets with duct tape on their shoes). We did remind our Scouts many times before Jambo that they should lock up any of their valuables (including patches), but kids just forget or get distracted easily.
