  1. The S-F Scout Ranch will offer water sports merit badge, motorboating merit badge, small boat sailing merit badge, along with traditional aquatics merit badges in the summer of 2013. It's about 250 miles away from Memphis just outside of Farmington, MO, and is one of the few camps that still incorporates patrol style cooking.

  3. Tahawk, What did the other 73 staff do? We currently have a staff of ~35, but we still have 7 aquatics counselors and 1 aquatics director, each of whom are responsible for either a merit badge or instructional swim. We haven't (knock on wood) had an LBD (lost bather drill) in at least 4 years, and hope to keep it that way for a fifth.

  5. I've served on our Council's Camp Staff for the last 2 summers, and will serve on it again this summer. For me, it's always been hard to get a read of many of the scoutmaster's attending camp, as they either are unwilling to tell you what you're doing wrong or complain about so many things that it's difficult to sort through all of the complaints and figure out what's legitimate and what's not. So what do you guys thing could improve about your respective council's camp staff?
