    Cubmaster Chris and I just discussed this podcast on the most recent Scout Roundtable podcast. It is very well done and has some great guest. However, one of the things I like about podcast the personal feeling that you get with the host(s) and guest. This show sounded more like a radio program on public radio. But some very good info none the less.

    New Pack visiting an established Pack?

    I happen to work with a bunch of Cub Scout leaders, all from different districts. When I decided to be Asst. Cubmaster I asked each of them if I could come and visit their pack meetings. They were running things very similarly but one of them really incorporated chants, cheers and yells. The boys really seemed to love this. I took this back to our pack as well as a few other things.

     

    Anyways, it if you can afford the time it could be worth the visit.

    Volunteer appeal presentation

    We just did the tape presentation and it worked great. Our committee consisted of the CC, our CM and the Den Leaders. I knew this was not how it should be so I presented the presentation to the group and they agreed to bring it to the parents. We now have six new parents on the committee with a few others holding onto apps.

    It really is... I am having so much fun with the boys and all I can see is more fun. Don't get me wrong, they are not always angles they are just boys.

     

    This week we have the varisty coach coming in to teach them the rules of basketball and we follow that up next week with a trip to the high school game. The boys are really excited about that.

    Well, I wanted to say hello. This is a great site and I love of the information I am getting by reading all (or alot) of the post here.

     

    My name is Bob and I am the Tiger Leader for my sons den here in Belton, MO. I am also the Asst. Cubmaster for the Pack. This is my first experience with scouting and I am having a blast. I have done stuff with my son and the other boys that I am not sure any of use would have done and it has been exciting.

     

    I also host a podcast where I talk all about what Ti, my son, and I are doing. Ti and I put out a weekly audio show talking about our den and pack meetings, events, skits, jokes and our all around Cub Scouting experience. The show is called A Cub Scouting Adventure.

     

    Thanks to everyone on this site and I look forward to becoming a member of the community.
