  1. I One would wonder if these parents are parents or just trying to be best buddies with their son. 1.) They should know that giving alcohol to a minor in against the law. Parents or not! 2.) They should know that their son can be ticketed for procession of Alcohol. 3.) They should know that their son can be arrested for Alcohol consumption. 4.) They should know that they can be arrested, fined, or 90 days in jail or both, for giving their son alcohol. BSA has a strict policy against alcohol use and drug use.   2. I took a tour of the online catalog, while waiting for my BSA Catalog to come in the mail. The last time I order scout pants I rec'd a pair that had a elastic band sewed in around the waste. I never knew this kind of uniform pants were available. I worn them to a round table and a guy walked up and told me they were ladies pants. Needless to say I never wore them again. I was trying to find a regular pair of scout pants for an adult. The picture on line doesn't give a very good idea of what I'm purchasing. I wish that all the pants were pictured and all gave a correct description
  3. Dizzy ona cliff, and troop members, I would like to congratulate the comments of the senior scouts in your troop. Surely, these young men have a sincere knowledge of what scouting is all about, and as young men have a handle on what life is all about. I wish them the best, as well as all the members in your troop. Thanks for being there for these young men and for setting a good example for them to follow. Also congratulations to all those who have obtain the Rand of Eagle, job well done!

  5. I was under the impression that the BSA had a Zero Tolrence Policy. He agrees to live by the Scout Oath and Law. As a good citizen he agrees to obey the laws of the land. As a past Scoutmaster, I had this problem with a upcoming Eagle Scout. I told him straight out as long as your a Member of this troop and as long as your below the State acceptable drinking age, you don't drink here, at campouts, or at home. I don't care if his parents agreed with it or not. What do you say to them if they smoke marijuana, doing drugs, smoking, as long as the parents don't care I don't care. Why sh
  6. Just to drop a message saying Hi to everyone here. I new to this Forum! I have been in and out of Scouting for many years. I live in MI, currently in the process of rejoining the Scouting movement, do to the need for help within the Northridge District, Detroit Area Council. Looking forward to some good posts and learning from all of you!
