If Mr. Stark had committed his crime in the 90s instead of the 80s he might have gotten away with it (i.e. the abuse of 14 cub scouts and middle school students in San Diego in 1981). The mass of gays and their media power just might have been able to pull Rodney out of his court case with a massive public appeal for leniency.
