  1. Thanks everyone , I guess that explains why I wasn't getting a reply. Karen my son sent you an email from jcsmeltz a few days ago.
  2. Thank you Eagle and TwoCub. Both of those are great resources! Karen, I sent you a private message with my email included. You are an angel! Wow. I knew "scouter' would be "helpful", it's part of the oath, I just didn't know how much. Thank you everyone!
  3. So I know that no one ever wants to get rid of family BSA stuff here, but I thought I would at least try. My son made Eagle Scout this year. He planned his Board of Review on the 50th anniversary of our troops first Eaqle Scout. He very much loves the history aspect of scouts and is very proud to be a scout. When we talked about planning his Eagle Ceremony he told me that he wanted to get a vintage eagle medal that belonged to a scout and not a new one with no history attached to it. We have tried bidding on a few on ebay, but the price usually goes way high, or it is just a medal with no hist
  4. Does anyone have any information on any trade-o-rees in Southern California? I saw that we missed the Ventura County one in February, but are there any other counties or districts that have them? Thank You
  5. Greetings all, My son loves BSA history. He has recently brought a resurgence of interest in BSA history by wearing an old garrison cap to the meetings. So much so that he and a few other boys would like to represent a a 40's-50's troop at the next scout expo. I have tried to find vintage uniforms online that would fit my son, but at 16, 6'5" and 200, it is an impossible task. I have thought about making one, and I do have a small uniform that I can take apart, but I hate to do that. Also, sanfordized cotton is really expensive and I have thus far only been able to find it in black.
