Here's an 11th reason:

 

Because it's my turn to step up, just like Harry, Steve, Ken, Bill, Mark, Joel, and George did for me when I was a boy.

 

And, hopefully when my Tiger is grown and my grandson asks, "Dad can I join Cub Scouts?", he'll say "Yes, let's find our Pack."
