mtnhikr 10
Our venture patrol plans to do a physical training unit and wants to earn the BSA Physical Fitness Award while doing so. As part of the National "To Be Physically Fit" program we need to use a "POSTURE-RATING CHART" to to evaluate one of the "Seven Major Components of Fitness": Posture. Trouble is, the BSA printed materials and web site gives no indication where to get one. Can anyone help us out?
Fat Old Guy 11
A google search on "Posture rating chart" turned up a couple sites. http://www.mhhe.com/hper/health/personalhealth/labs/PhysicalActivity/lab-16b.html http://www.hperd.swt.edu/pankey/3320/post.html
mtnhikr 10
I also saw these sites. They tell how to score from the chart but bo not include the chart itself. Thanks for responding.
april.daisy 10
I found it! Check out this site for a posture assessment chart. American Physical Therapy Association: http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geuoje39BFRvYADTxXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTB2b2gzdDdtBGNvbG8DZQRsA1dTMQRwb3MDMQRzZWMDc3IEdnRpZAM-/SIG=13p2th1eo/EXP=1171403102/**http%3a//www.apta.org/AM/Template.cfm%3fSection=Search%26template=/CM/HTMLDisplay.cfm%26ContentID=20457 www.apta.org Then use 1,3 or 5 to score the 13 elements you'll see on this site. (6 are from a front view and 7 are from the side view.)
