Jambo area or temp area?

Okay, this may be one of those "DUH" questions, but the answer just seems to allude me.

 

I know the area above the right pocket is reserved for jambo patches, but what about Cub Scouts who go to camps or weekend camps?

 

 

A big handfull of us went to a council parent son weekend event. I did not know it, but part of the program is that the scouts get a patch for attending that weekend. Not a generic "Oh gee, I went to camp" patch, but a patch specific to that event by way of place, time and theme.

 

Would this be a temp patch worn on the pocket, or would it be like a Jambo patch worn above the pocket?

It's a temporary patch.

Yep it's temp insignia, and only National and World Jambo patches go above the pocket for Boy Scouts, and Venturers of both genders, and male Boy Scout and Venturing leaders. All Cub Scout leaders and all female leaders may, stress MAY, wear 1, stressing ONE, temp insignia either on the pocket, or above the pocket.

Now me personally, I would stick with the temp insignia on the pocket.

Yep, temp patch. I've got one for darn near every single event I've ever attended. I'm surprised they don't hand them out at roundtable.

Actually, I just got a patch for showing up at my first roundtable. It's a good thing, too. I just got a new uniform (the old one shrunk just hanging in the closet for 30 years), and I can't very well go out in public without some kind of temporary patch on that pocket.

Just thinking along the lines tnat since Jambo went above the pocket, and since Cubs can visit but not attend jambo( from my understanding) ..that the camp patch would be their "jambo" patch.

Bah, clem. All I where on my right pocket is my Founders Award device usually.

 

I hate changing up those temporary patches, lol.
