anyone know about a slide carver in upstate NY during the 70s

When I earned my eagle in 1976, my parents bought me a carved neckerchief slide from a carver in Upstate New York near Ten Mile River Scout reservation. The slide was an Eagle Medal carved in wood and was made of multiple pieces that looked like a slightly larger version of the eagle medal.

 

The carver had a store that was open when I went to summer camp. I'd like to locate this carver again to see if I can get another. Might anyone know if this is still around or if there is a source of another somewhere? I've looked thru many websites selling carved slides but haven't located it.
