  1. Thank you, InquisitiveScouter, this was my understanding, as well. I wanted to get a second opinion before raising the issue in our next committee meeting, so I appreciate your help. I am also unclear if her son was even allowed to camp with us, given he is not a cub scout, he does not a sibling who is a cub scout, and he is not a den chief for our unit. Again, this was a council event, and there were Troops present, just not in our campsite.
  2. I apologize, but I made a mistake. She did end up camping with the pack after stating that she was planning to camp elsewhere. However, she ended up bringing her son, a member of a local Troop, with her. He slept in her tent. He does not have a sibling in our Pack. I'm a bit confused about whether or not this was allowed, as well.
  3. Good morning! Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I've scoured the Guide to Safe Scouting and can't find an answer to my question. One of our adult leaders currently does not have a scout in the Pack. Can their older child who is in a local Troop camp with the Pack? He does not have a sibling with the Pack, and he is sharing a tent with his parent at our Pack's assigned campsite during a district event.
  4. Sorry if this has been asked and answered before, but I couldn’t find it on the forum. I’m a leader with a pack that recently attended an overnight council event. Our committee chair notified us at the last minute that she would be camping with another pack that she has friends in, rather than our own. She does not have a child in scouting this year, and camped with them on her own. The rest of our pack is a bit confused. Is this normally allowed?
